Meet Our Caring Team

Kraig Lerol joined the staff of Baker Funeral Home as manager on September 1, 2006. He is a North Dakota native who grew up in Finley. After graduating from high school, he attended Cypress College of Mortuary Science in Cypress, CA. Kraig then furthered his education at Mayville State University, Mayville, ND while serving his funeral director internship at Baker Funeral Home. He later worked at Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, ND and Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, MN. Happy to be returning to Mayville, Kraig enjoys motorcycles, fly fishing, hunting, traveling, card-playing, and spending time with friends and family.

Jackee Lerol is the Preplanning Consultant at Baker Funeral Home. She joined the staff there in October of 2006 after working in the healthcare industry for the prior 14 years as a respiratory therapist and sales representative for home medical equipment companies. Jackee was born and raised in Mayville. Kraig and Jackee have three grown sons, Lukas Brandon, Moorhead , MN; David Brandon, Hatton, ND; Jordan Brandon, Minnetonka, MN. They also have 5 granddaughters and a grandson. The Lerol’s live in the country, right at Portland Junction with their two golden retrievers.

Ken Fyre joined Baker Funeral Home as a Funeral Assistant on Dec. 31, 2014. Ken is a native of Portland, ND. He graduated from May~Port High School and also from Mayville State College. He was a member of the Army National Guard Unit of Mayville and also the Air National Guard of Fargo. Ken and wife, Peggy are parents to Chad of Milnor, ND, Heather of Ogema, MN, Troy of Argusville, ND, and Adam of Fargo, ND; and grandparents to 10 grandchildren. Ken farms North West of Portland and is a retired mail carrier.
