Susan Gail Reiser

   Susan Gail Reiser, 66, Mayville, ND died of complications of a stroke on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Sanford Mayville Medical Center.

   Sue was born on November 2, 1954 in Breckenridge, MN to Wendell and Jean (Wippler) Capouch. She graduated high school from Mayville and attended Mayville State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education. Shortly after graduation, Sue moved her family to Turtle Lake, ND where she taught elementary school for 30 years. In 2016, Sue retired back to Mayville, where she spent her time substitute teaching at PBJ Elementary and volunteering at Our Lady of Peach Catholic Church and the library. 

   Sue was a force to be reckoned with, beating two bouts of breast cancer and COVID. She was a devout Catholic, known for her welcoming personality and having a smile that could light up a room. Her loss will be felt not just by her family and friends, but the entire community.

   Sue leaves fond memories with her four children, Sally of Denver, CO, Peter of Mayville, ND, Sarah of Fargo, ND, and Matthew of Denver, CO; two grandchildren: Micha of Fargo, ND and Cora Hulm of Mayville, ND; siblings Tom (Nancy) Capouch, Portland, ND, Patty (Shawn) Ogburn, Mayville, ND, and Peggy (Nathan) Martin, Pelican Rapids, MN; and nine nieces and nephews. 

   She is preceded in death by her father and mother.

Visitation:  Will be 5–7 PM on Friday, September 17, 2021 with a 6:30PM prayer service at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: Will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mayville, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
