Pearl B. Forsgren, 97, of Mayville, ND passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.
Pearl Broer Delver was born November 16, 1921 in Boston, Mass. to Edward and Clara Delver. She graduated from high school and went on to get her RN degree. Pearl joined the Navy Nurse Corp during WWII and had to retire because of health reasons. She married Howard Forsgren on September 9, 1947. Howard passed away on December 10, 2001, after 54 years of marriage.
Pearl loved being a nurse and dedicated her life to helping others. During her more than 70 year nursing career she worked at many nursing homes, hospitals, and with home health. While working full time she obtained her BSN degree. Pearl was an active member of the Mayville Lutheran Church and served as the Parish Nurse.
Pearl is survived by her children: Dorothy (Michael) Connolly, Tallahassee, FL, Barbara (Peter) Bradford, Elk River, MN, Jon (Barb) Forsgren, Adams, ND and Carol (Brian) Tupy, Lakeville, MN; 7 grandchildren: Mike (Jill) Connolly, Amy (Moe) Endara, Stephanie (Ulysses) Jones, Jason (Stacey) Kleinschmit, Joshua (Katie) Forsgren, Erin Tupy and Taylor Tupy; 4 great grandchildren: Kayla and Mason Kleinschmit, Gabriel and Michael Endara; brother: Norbert (Barb) Delver and a sister: Nancy Greschamer.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard and sisters: Edith and Donna.
The family suggests memorials to Mayville Lutheran Church, Luther Memorial Home, or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Visitation: Will be 5–7 PM with a 7 PM Public Prayer Service on Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.
Military Honors: May~Port Honor Guard and the ND Military Funeral Honors.
Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
