Marv Roller, 80, of Fargo, ND passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Eventide Fargo.
Marvin Nicholas Roller was born June 7, 1943, the son of Aloysius “Louie” and Rose (Salonick) Roller in Mayville, ND.
Marvin served in the National Guard from 1961 - 1965. He married DiAnn Owens on June 22, 1968. They built a home in Thompson, ND in 1973 where they started raising their family. He was a volunteer member of the Thompson Fire Department and an EMT for 21 years.
Marv worked in the automobile and heavy truck industry for his entire career.
Marv enjoyed country dancing, the outdoors and especially boating on Lake of the Woods and later on Leech Lake. He spent many weekends with his sons hunting at “The Farm” and fishing.
Marv has spent the last 17 years of his life with his very good friend Marilyn Cornforth. They enjoyed their retirement years together in Palm Springs and many trips to the casinos with his sister Grace and her husband Dave.
Marv loved his grandchildren and cherished spending time with them and attending as many of their sports, music, and theatre events as he could.
He is survived by his children, Randall Roller, West Fargo, ND, Scott (Staci) Roller, Billings, MT, Bradley (Danielle) Roller, West Fargo, grandchildren, Megan, Amanda, Emma and Shae, sisters, Esther Kraus, and Grace (Dave) Verminski.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral Service: Will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mayville, ND.
Military Honors: May~Port Honor Guard and the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors.
Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
