Mark Alan Visby, 61, of Buxton, North Dakota, passed away on March 3, 2026.

Mark was born on March 26, 1964, in Hope, North Dakota to Jerry and Marlys Visby. He grew up with a strong sense of family, hard work, and loyalty; the qualities that stayed with him throughout his life.

Mark met the love of his life, Kathy, while they were both working at GFG. Their connection grew into a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Together they made their home in Buxton, where they built a life centered around family and friendship.

He worked for Traill County, where he dedicated many years of service to his community.

Mark found his greatest joy in his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; his son, Mike Visby; his daughter, Shelby Visby (Brandon Kordenat); and his cherished granddaughters, Kamryn and Kodie, who were truly the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Visby (Jan); his nephew, Adam Visby; his niece, Alyssa Bieber (Cole); and their children, Parker and Weston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Marlys Visby, and his father-in-law, Ronald Schultz.

Mark loved spending time at the campground with Kathy and friends, enjoying the simple pleasures of life like good company, outdoors and making memories with those he loved most. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to his family, and the deep love he had for his granddaughters.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him

Visitation: Will be 5–6:30 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND.

Memorial Service: 6:30 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND.
