Loretta Moen

December 4, 1942 — May 12, 2022

   Loretta Moen, 79, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

   Loretta was born in Glendale California on December 4, 1942, she spent her life teaching, sharing and trailblazing. Loretta graduated from Mayville State University and began her career as a teacher, teaching in different states around the country. Eventually Loretta wound up back in California, starting a business called Terminal House in Silicon Valley during the 70s and 80s manufacturing printed circuit boards for electronic devices.

   She was also a passionate and dedicated educator, determined to teach youth of all ages and after the birth of her son, moved back to North Dakota for several years and eventually found her way to Arizona to put down roots.

   After her retirement Loretta found a love for dancing, pickleball, and golf. She kept as active as she could as long as Parkinson’s allowed her.  

   Loretta is survived by her son, Channing and her two brothers, Gary and Kris Moen. She has joined her sister, Karolyn Aasen, in eternal rest.

 

Loretta has been cremated and she was interred during a private family service at the Mayville Cemetery on Sunday, May 29, 2022.
