KEITH A. ANDERSON
Keith Arlan Anderson, 86, died Saturday, January 17th at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND. Keith was born on July 19th, 1939, in Mayville, ND, to Mikkel and Blondie (Vigen) Anderson. Keith enjoyed growing up on the farm.
He attended church at North Prairie Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Buxton, ND. Keith went to school through 8th grade at Wold #2 School, rural Buxton, then attended high school at Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN.
While attending Mayville State Teacher’s College, he met the love of his life, Ann Evelyn Oien, and the two were married June 4th 1961 in Devils Lake, ND.
Following college graduation in 1962, Keith taught social studies, physical education, and was assistant coach in Fisher, MN for two years. In 1964, he returned to the home farm, where he farmed and milked dairy cattle.
Together they raised four children: Greta Marie Paschke (Perry), Paul Mikkel Anderson (Linda), Merry Kris Gleason, and Jennifer Melissa Otteson (Bruce).
Keith served on numerous boards in the community, including church council, Buxton Farmers Union Co-Op, Central Valley Bean, Wold Township, Mayville State University Arizona Almuni Committee, North Prairie Cemetery Association, and the Union Hospital Foundation Board. He also served as a 4-H leader.
His hobbies and interests were singing in church choirs, Barbershoppers, and he was also involved in musical groups at Mayville State University. Keith enjoyed riding snowmobiles, antique tractors, making various woodworking projects, and spending time with family at the lake.
Keith and Ann spent 17 years in Arizona where he became a pool shark, shuffleboard enthusiast and rode motorcycle.
Keith is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters Merry Gleason and Jennifer Otteson (Bruce); grandchildren: Leah Muskee (Gertjan), Thomas Kyllo (Dena), Ronald Kyllo, Mikkel Anderson, Katie Giermann (Kyle), Austin Anderson (Katrina), Kayla Pederson (Nick), Brady Otteson (Whitney), Marit Lau (Matt); nine great-grandchildren; his sister Myrna Tucker (David), and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mikkel and Blondie Anderson, daughter Greta Paschke, son Paul Anderson, infant granddaughter, Megan Kyllo.
Visitation will be Sunday, January, 25, 2026 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Buxton, ND. Funeral Services will be Monday, January, 26, 2026 at 10:00 am in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Buxton, ND with visitation one hour before.
