Karen (Johnson) Paulson

Karen Mae Paulson, 78 years young, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, in West Fargo, North Dakota. Born on July 9, 1946, in Portland, North Dakota, Karen lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and community.

She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Peter, and a loving mother to her four children: Angel baby Jesse, Kari, Andrew, and Joel. Karen has a sister Geri (Gene) Wolf, niece Julie and nephew Mike. Karen will be deeply missed by all who knew her family and friends included.

From travel before kids, to sideline coaching while the kids played sports, to volunteering for so many organizations, all with deep love, care, and authentic concern. Karen’s zest for life was palpable.

A Celebration of this Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 1p at Perry Church in Portland, North Dakota, her home church. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in remembering and honoring her life. The burial will be private and held at another time.
