Jesse Scallon

October 3, 1988 — January 15, 2018

Jesse Daniel Scallon, 29, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 15th in Fargo, ND. Jesse was born October 3rd, 1988 in Mayville, ND to parents Lee and Luanne Scallon, and was the middle of five brothers. Jesse grew up an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and brothers. When he wasn’t hunting or fishing, Jesse enjoyed kayaking, running, playing basketball, and riding his motorcycle.      Jesse graduated from MPCG High School in 2007 and went on to attend North Dakota State College of Science, where he earned his degree in Construction Management Technology in 2010. After graduation, Jesse worked in construction as a millwright, foreman and crane operator, and was most recently employed by Gast Construction.      Jesse was known for his quick wit, goofy sense of humor, and entertaining stories. A true Renaissance man, Jesse’s curiosity and eagerness to learn allowed him to master anything he set his mind to -- mechanic, carpenter, craftsman, cook, or comedian -- Jesse was always happy to help.        Jesse is survived by his parents: Lee and Luanne Scallon; brothers: Benjamin (Challsey), Joseph (Emily), Zachary, and Quentin; and by his niece and goddaughter: Nyla.      He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Grace Scallon; grandfather: Anthony French; godmother: Cindy Fugleberg; Aunt: Nancy Schladweiler and Roberta Scallon.   Visitation:  Will be from 5–7 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2018 with a 7:00 PM Public Prayer Service at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mayville, ND and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
