Harriet Elaine Ulland

   Harriet Elaine Ulland passed away peacefully at Luther Memorial Home on November 5, 2022.

   Harriet was born in Hillsboro North Dakota on August 7,1926 to Oscar and Clara Kaldor. She grew up on the Kaldor farm. She had 4 brothers, Willard, Morris, Odin and Kenneth and two sisters, Marion Berg and Beatrice Szilagyi. She graduated from Mayville High School. She loved working for a few years after high school graduation at the Goose River Bank.

   She married Myron Ulland, her high school sweetheart at Aal Lutheran Church on June 4, 1947 and they started their life together and raised their 3 children. They lived on a farm east of Mayville for 30 years.

   Harriet was very active in the field work, dairy work, gardening, growing flowers, canning, cooking and baking. She loved to serve cookies and lunches to anyone visiting the farm. She was a good and helpful friend to many.  She was a 4-H Leader for many years. She also enjoyed all her years singing in the choir at Mayville Lutheran Church where she was a longtime member and active in the Ladies Aide and Circle. She was also active in the VFW auxiliary. She cherished her time spent with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She became friends with many of the staff at Luther Memorial Home during her years there and enjoyed talking with them and appreciated their kindness.

   She is survived by her daughters: Marilyn (Ron) Brown of Strongsville, Ohio and Debbie (Neil) Tollefsrud of Plymouth, MN and her son: Steve Ulland of Portland, ND; 6 grandchildren: Brian (Teresa) Nagel, Tami (Michael) Pelcer, Angela (Aaron) Stevens, Jim Tollefsrud, Nancy (Jay) Schroeder and Casey Ulland; and has 12 great grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her husband: Myron of 65 years who died on August 12, 2012; her parents; all her siblings and grandson: Cody Ulland.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Luther Memorial Home or Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Visitation:  Will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: Will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
