Gladys L. Gunderson

  Gladys L Gunderson age 97 of Grand Forks formerly of Buxton, died Saturday July 8th,2023 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks.

   Gladys L Gunderson was born March 6, 1926 to Christ and Martha (Monson) Landa.  She grew up and attended school in Reynolds.  On June 9th, 1948 she married the love of her life Gustav Gunderson.  Gladys worked as a teacher & also at the Hillsboro Nursing Home.  She enjoyed working and did not retire until she was eighty years old.  Family was very important to her and she treasured the time she spent with her son, daughters and grandchildren.  Gladys was a very special lady.

   Gladys is survived by 2 daughters, Gail Stein, Bismarck, Sheryl (Dale) Hoyt, Grand Forks, 2 grandchildren, Corey (Marissa) Stein, Jamie (Josh) Peshek and 2 great grandchildren Rylan and Brenner Peshek, all of Bismarck and many nieces & nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her husband Gustav, daughter Marlys, son Garry, son-in-law Ken Stein.  Her parents, 6 brothers, Truman, Claris, Sanford, Lloyd, Ardell & Victor, 3 sisters, Irene, Myrtle & Mardell.

   A private family graveside service will be held at Immanuel East Cemetery in rural Buxton, ND, at later date.
