Floyd E. Knudson

   Floyd Everett Knudson, 83, of Mayville ND passed Tuesday, May 21 at Hatton Prairie Village.

   Floyd was born August 7, 1935 in Mayville to Calmer and Florence (Whitson) Knudson. He grew up in Clifford ND, graduated from Clifford High School and attended Mayville State University.

   Floyd married Corrine Bjerke December 19, 1959 at Perry Lutheran Church, Portland ND. They made their home in Mayville where they raised their three children. He served in the Army National Guard from 1956-1965. He worked at City Service Gas Station, hauled hay, owned Floyd’s Super Service and farmed part time. Floyd was employed by the city of Mayville for 30 years and after retirement he drove gravel truck for Lakeside Construction for 12 summers.

   He was a past President of the Mayville Eagles club and a volunteer fire fighter. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing with his buddies, hunting with family and friends, woodworking in his shed, and spending time at Golden Lake with his wife and family.

   Floyd is survived by his loving wife: Corrine of 59 years; one son: Tim (Sandy) Knudson of Mayville; two daughters: DeAnn Knudson of Detroit Lakes and Peggy Knudson ( Rod Brekhus) of Fargo; six grandchildren: Andy Knudson (MacKenzie Johnson) of Grand Forks, Sara (Garett)  Hawes of Colfax, Ben (Tanna) Knudson of Grand Forks, Ashley (Jacob) Louw of Devils Lake, Laura (Zach) Pflugrath of Fargo, Leah Lindberg (Cole Thunshelle) of Plaza; 11 great grandchildren: Coby, Bree, Caroline, Adele, Everett, Bailey, Harvey, River, Ridley, Jolie and Theodore.

   Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Rholeen Kennedy; brother: Dennis Knudson; nephew: Todd Knudson and great grandson: Gabriel Knudson.

Visitation:  Will be 5–7 PM Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
