Darin M. Klabo

March 21, 1984 — October 5, 2018

Darin Klabo passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident on October 5, 2018 in rural Mayville, ND.    Darin Mark Klabo “Beav” was born on March 21, 1984 to Craig and Terry Klabo at Union Hospital in Mayville, ND. He attended grade school in Mayville and graduated from May-Port CG High School in 2002. After high school, Darin went on to attend college at Mayville State University and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Finance and Real Estate.    Darin always was known for his strong work ethic. While in college he worked at Simon Sales, Top Hat, and NAPA Auto Parts in addition to attending school full time. After College, Darin took a job as manager of NAPA Auto Parts in Mayville, ND. In 2010, Darin was hired at Finely Motors in Finley, ND. He worked in the automotive division in parts and service. In 2015, he moved into their new motorsports building and was manager of parts and services. Darin loved his job and was able to show his talents at work every day. He had a passion for accessorizing vehicles, ATV’s and snowmobiles.    Darin married Maria (Martin) on November, 27, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV. They welcomed their daughter Kennedi Ann on December 6, 2012. Darin lovingly referred to his daughter as “Miss Kennedi or Tootsie”. She was the light of his life. He loved watching her grow and accomplish new milestones. He recently had taught Kennedi to ride bike without her training wheels.     Darin’s family was very important to him. Growing up, he spent countless hours working in the shop with his dad and taking random trips to find “Good deals.” Darin enjoyed spending time with brother, Dale. He often came to his brother’s farm to visit, work on his race car or just hang out. Darin was very active with his nephew and God child, Tucker. Darin made sure to accessorize Tucker’s snowmobile, go-cart and motorcycle so he could rip around his farm yard in style. Tucker adored his uncle Darin and especially loved the noisy Christmas gifts he received from him which included a children’s accordion and drum set.    Darin was active in Snow Travelers, Norseman Archers and was on the board for Cruise to the Island Car Show. He loved snowmobiling, demolition derbies and riding motorcycle. His favorite times spent with friends included four- wheeling in Montana and at the Pembina Gorge as well as trips to Sturgis. The last three summers he enjoyed spending weekends with his family at the Anchor Inn resort on Cotton Lake drinking his “Blue smoothies” by the campfire. He made lifelong friendships with the neighbors at Cotton Lake and looked forward to many more summers spent with them. Darin loved to be with people and could talk to anyone. He was always up for adventure. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.    Darin is survived by the mother of his daughter: Maria Klabo and their beautiful daughter: Kennedi, Portland, ND; parents: Craig and Terry Klabo, Portland, ND; brothers: Dale (Jackie) Kraling and their son Tucker, Mayville, ND; Travis Klabo, Fargo, ND; Jerod Klabo and his children Shawn and Braden Mayville, ND; Maria’s parents: Larry and Linda Martin, Pelican Rapids, MN; brothers-in-law: Randy (MaryAnn) Martin and their children Benjamin and MacKenzie, Lake Park, MN; Matthew and Erica Martin and their children Caroline and Brooke, Champlin, MN; sister-in-law: Natalia (Jake) Hummel and their children Karon and Micah, Texarkana, TX; grandparents: Clarence and (Carol) Klabo, Portland, ND.
