   Cindy Sorensen, 64, of Mayville, ND, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at her home in Mayville, ND.

   Cindy Lou Sorensen was born April 16, 1956 in Mayville ND, the daughter of Daniel and Elaine (Domier) Viken. Cindy was confirmed at Perry Lutheran Church rural Portland, ND and graduated from Hope High School in 1974. She moved to Mayville soon after graduation.

   She worked various jobs out of high school but found a niche in the food industry, where she worked as a server and enjoyed the day to day interactions with people. Most recently, she worked many years at Paula’s café and enjoyed seeing all the people each day.

   The joy of Cindy’s life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, family gatherings, attending her children/grandchildren’s sporting events, watching her nephew race in the summertime and many other various events that involved spending time with those that she was closest with. She also enjoyed spending her time reading books and doing word search puzzles.

   Cindy is survived by her 2 children: Troy Sorensen of Gardner and Allen (Kasey) Sorensen of Fargo; 4 grandchildren: Dominic Hanson, Abrianna, Hunter and Hope Sorensen 2 sisters: Terry (Craig) Klabo of Portland and Jody Viseth of Mayville; 1 brother: Todd (Shari) Viken of Hunter and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

   She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter in law: Meredith Sorensen; nephew: Darin Klabo and brother in law: Ron Viseth.

Masks are required.

Visitation:  Will be 5–7 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: Will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Perry Cemetery in rural Portland, ND.
