Charles Anthony Yanez

Charles Yanez, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his home in Hope, North Dakota.

Charles Anthony Yanez was born on August 10, 1965, in Nebraska, to Anita Yanez Gayton.

Charles was united in marriage to Tammy on October 11, 2005, in Minnesota, then moved to North Dakota where they built a beautiful life together.

Charles was the kind of man who found joy in both hard work and simple pleasures. He had a deep love for racing and could often be found tinkering around the farm or working on cars, a passion he turned into a skill through his education in bodywork. He took pride in fixing things and bringing them back to life, but more than that, he was someone who showed up for people. Known for his kindness and willingness to help anyone in need. He had patient, understanding nature and an optimistic outlook that made others feel at ease. Generous with his time and heart, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Charles is survived by his wife, Tammy; his daughters- Logan Yanez of Finley, North Dakota; Savannah Sistad of Fruita, Colorado; Mariah (Alaric) Roerick of Watford City, North Dakota; Cassie Sistad (Gabriel Gomez) of Fargo, North Dakota; Abigail Platt of Fargo, North Dakota; grandchildren- Caiden, Aubree, Kinzley, Kennedy, Alivia, Rhoen, Swayze, Adriana, Marco, Gabriel, Phoenix and Sylas; Sister- Lori Gayton of Fargo, North Dakota.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother: Anita Yanez Gayton; Sister: Susanne Gayton; and his Grandparents: Fabian Yanez and Luisa Yanez.

As per Charles’s request, no public service will be held.
