Amy Louise Nelson flew from this world on October 6th, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered by many as a charismatic, engaging, and ambitious woman. Born in 1965 in Watertown MN to the late Ramona Hron and Reuben Holtz, she started life vibrantly.
Amy was a lover of animals and was always into trying new things. In 2011 she married her greatest love, Todd Nelson, and planted their roots in Mayville ND.
Her passions included music, creative expression and spending time outdoors- but above all she loved to cook and in 2018 she made her longtime dream a reality by opening her very own food truck, It’s A Wrap. She experienced great success in providing lovingly made meals to her community. Her greatest joy was her grandkids, and her greatest pride was her children. Amy made an impression on everyone she met and loved bringing joy to people’s lives.
Her legacy lives on through her husband Todd Nelson, Mayville ND; her daughters Abigail (Garrett) Kapp and Lindsay (Trevor) Kapp; her sons Evan (Tommy) Becker and Adam (Katie) Becker; her step sons Tim (Carrie) Nelson, Joey (Jaid) Nelson, Eric Nelson and Tristan Nelson; her grandchildren Sarita, Eve, Kaleb, Cerenity, Alida, Lyla, Oliver, and August; four siblings Julie (Michael) Macpherson, Ross (Lynette) Beard, Nicholas Holtz, and Rob (Jane) Holtz; father-in-law Wayne (Pat) Langton; brother-in-law Mike Langton; sister-in-laws Patti (Cory) Kouba and Kim (Leroy) Shereck and fur babies Willie, Spook, and Sox.
She was met at heaven’s gate by her twin sister Emmy, her mother Ramona, her aunt Susan, her stepfather Stan, her father Reuben, her mother-in-law Patricia Langton, her brother-in-law Scott Nelson, and her beloved dogs Mollie, Desmond, and Justice and many other fur babies.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday October 12th, 2021 at the Baker Funeral Home. As tribute to Amy’s love of food and laughter a small meal will be served after the service where those who wish can share their fondest memories of a woman who will be truly missed by many.
In lieu of flowers the family would instead like that you donate to help with the service. There will also be a car decal that will be given for each donation as a thank you and as a remembrance for Amy.
