Chester J. Anderson

Chester J. Anderson Chester James Anderson, 84, of rural Cummings, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 peacefully in his sleep at his home. He was born on November 12, 1922, near Cummings, the son of Harry and Laura Alice (Leum) Anderson. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1939. On November 2, 1952, He married Betty J. McQueen at the Congregational Church in Hillsboro. After their marriage, the couple lived on the family farm until moving to the current farmstead. Throughout his lifetime, Chester was a farmer and carpenter. He retired from farming in the mid 1990’s. He is survived by his wife, Betty of rural Cummings; one daughter, Juliane (Dirk) Cigelske of Fargo; one son, Jeffrey (Jane) Anderson of Fargo; one grandson, Brock Cigelske and one step grandson, Brandon Berg. Chester is also survived by his two sisters, S. Luanne Appelwick of Duluth, MN and Marilyn (Jerome) Lande of Mayville. Chester is preceded in death by his parents; brother, H. Eugene Anderson; and his grandson, Zane Cigelske. FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. VISITATION: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 from 5-7 PM with a 7 PM public prayer service at the Baker Funeral Home, Mayville, ND and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. BURIAL: Carlson Cemetery, rural Mayville, ND.
