Alvin Amb, 90, of Mayville, ND died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his home in Mayville. Alvin was born July 21, 1919 to Martin and Marie (Haugen) Amb in Traill County. He grew up with seven siblings on the Martin Amb farm and attended school at Viking Township #10. From 1943-1944, during WWII, Alvin was in the US Navy as an aviation machinist mate 2nd class.
