Helen Berglie

Helen Berglie, 85, Mayville, ND, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND. Helen was born October 4, 1920, in Portland, ND, the daughter of Lars and Belinda (Stenerson) Haugen. She grew up and attended school in Portland, ND. On February 15, 1941 she married Ludvig Berglie. Together they farmed near Portland and then in the late 1940’s they purchased a farm near Mayville, ND. Helen resided on the farm until the late 1990’s when she moved into Mayville. Most recently she resided at Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND. She is survived by two daughters, Betty (George) Nelson, Perley, MN and Eileen Johnson, Mayville, ND; one granddaughter, Lori Johnson, Garland, TX; one great-grandson, Christopher Johnson, Garland, TX; and one sister, Corrine Sliper, San Jose, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Ludvig in 1998, six brothers, and three sisters. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND. VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service, at Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND. BURIAL: Aal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, ND.
