Christopher Lee Edelen

Christopher L. Edelen, 18, Mayville, ND, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, as a result of injuries suffered from an automobile accident, Grand Forks, ND. Chris was born January 6, 1988, in Bradenton, FL, the son of Lynda Matthews and Gary Edelen. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Mayville, ND. He was confirmed at Bruflat Lutheran Church, Portland, ND. Chris had many friends; friends being the enjoyment of his life. He was a very social loving person. He had been living with friends in the Grand Forks ND area. He is survived by his fiancée, Rita Coleman; son, Elijah John; mother, Lynda Matthews; father, Gary Edelen; sister, Crystal Hefta; brother, Sergeant James (Natalia) King; nephew, Daniel Hefta; niece, Karon King; grandmother Chere Owen; grandmother Liz Matthews; and many very special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James T Matthews III. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Bruflat Lutheran Church, Portland, ND. VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service, at the church. BURIAL: Bruflat Cemetery, Portland, ND.
