Marvin Lewis Frost

Marvin Lewis Frost, 79, Mayville, ND, died Tuesday, June 06, 2006 at his residence, under Hospice Care, Mayville ND. Marvin was born July 11, 1926, in Black Hawk County, Iowa the son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Bahl) Frost. He moved with his family to the Arthur ND area when he was a young child. He graduated from high school in Arthur and then continued at North Dakota State School of Science, Wahpeton, ND. Marvin served in the US Army in Germany, in the occupation force. On August 24, 1957 he married Patricia Folk at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hunter, ND. They farmed and also ran the Frost Store in Hunter from 1963 – 1981. Marvin worked at the Arthur Elevator Co. for 10 years and in 1991 they moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. He worked in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program as a Senior Companion for 12 years. They returned to North Dakota in 2005, living in Mayville. Marvin enjoyed spectator sports, woodworking, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia, Mayville, ND; four children, Mark, Hope, ND, Lisa (Gary) Hersch, Andover, MN, Amy (Erick) Soder, Watauga, TX, and David, North Richland Hills TX; three grandchildren Brandon Derek and Taryn Hersch, Andover, MN; five brothers, Ray (Lois) Frost, Hunter, ND, Leroy (Geraldine) Frost, Fargo, ND, Dr. Donald (JoAnne) Frost, Addison, IL, William (Dorothy) Frost, Alexandria, MN, and Robert (Esther) Frost, Mesa, AZ; and one sister, Jackie Punton, Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother, three brothers, Luverne (Jack), Bernard Jr. (Mick), and Kenneth, and granddaughter Danielle Hersch. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 3:00 PM at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hunter, ND. VISITATION: Friday, June 9, 2006 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7PM and one hour prior to the funeral service, all at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hunter, ND. BURIAL: Hunter Cemetery, Hunter, ND.
