Marilyn Lillian Anderson, 74, of Mayville, ND formerly of Clifford, ND died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND. Marilyn was born on April 23, 1943 in Milnor, ND to Nels and Evelyn (Claus) Nelson. She grew up in Gwinner, ND and graduated Salutatorian of her class. Marilyn was a long time resident of the Amenia and Casselton, ND area until she married Alton Anderson in 1988 and joined him in Clifford, ND. She loved all aspects of flowers and plants: from gardening to harvesting and canning. She had a very green thumb! In her younger years, she enjoyed playing pool and was an avid bowler. Marilyn was also very crafty and was well known for crocheting and quilting. She enjoyed volunteering at her church. Marilyn is survived by her husband: Alton; son: Nick Hanson of Chaffee, ND; daughters: Colleen (Ken) Crowe of Stratford, CT, Roberta (Tom) Kinsella of West Haven, CT and Joy Hanson of Bridgeport, CT; three grandchildren: Christina and Riley Kinsella and Kenny Crowe; three siblings: Myra Cook of Baxter, TN, Kevin (Judy) Nelson of Las Vegas, NV and Kenwood Nelson of Baxter, TN. She is also survived by five step-children: Susan, Clark, Peggy, Eric and Adam; an aunt and uncle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her infant brother: Larry and her parents. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Norman Lutheran Church in Clifford, ND. Burial: Will be at the Concordia Cemetery in Milnor, ND.
