David Orlin Hettervig

David Orlin Hettervig, 48, of Buxton, ND, died Sunday, August 30, 2009, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. David was born October 16, 1960 in Mayville, ND to Orlin and Norma (Lenz) Hettervig. He grew up on a farm in Buxton, and graduated from Central Valley High School. For several years, he worked at Rogenes & Rye Farms. On November 11, 1989 he married Linda Rye in Climax, MN. Together they had 2 children. The family lived in Grand Forks, and David worked at Reynolds United Co-op for 15 years before returning to Buxton. David enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, and mechanical work. He especially loved farming and always looked forward to harvest season. He loved to spend time with his children, and many friends. David is survived by his wife, Linda of Grand Forks; 2 children, Ashley of Grand Forks, and Dustin of Wahpeton, ND; mother Norma of Cummings; 1 sister, Rhonda of Cummings; 1 brother, Marlin (Kimberly) of Fargo, ND; 1 niece, Kristin; and 1 nephew, Michael. He was preceded in death by his father, Orlin. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Buxton, ND. Visitation: 5-7 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2009 and one hour prior to the funeral service, all at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Buxton. Interment: Immanuel Cemetery East.
