Salvadora Capuli Partin

Salvadora C. Partin went to be with her lord and savior on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Portland ND surrounded by her family. Salvadora (aka Bading aka Sally) Partin was born on November 15, 1924 in Orani Bataan, Philippines the daughter of Reverend Mariano Capuli and Antonina Capuli. She married Bienvenido Buendia in 1945 and had two children; daughter Annie B. McMahon and son Ephraim Buendia. On August 11, 1973 she remarried Staff Sargent Benjamin O. Partin in Lawton, Oklahoma Salvadora was a long time member of First United Methodist church of Lawton, OK and was actively involved in church activities. Her greatest joys included singing in the choir, bell choir, Sunday school, Women’s group, and serving breakfast once a month at the church. She was also a prayer warrior. Salvadora was also active in the community with the Filipino-American Association, singing in the Messiah was a hi-lite of her musical activities. She was also actively involved in caroling with the Fil-Am group during the Christmas season. In 2013 Salvadora moved to North Dakota to live with her daughter Annie and husband Dalton. She made many friends and enjoyed visits to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Minnesota and South Dakota where she became close friends with Dalton’s mother, Grandma McMahon. She also traveled to Puerto Rico, Arizona and the Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, and San Diego. She was scheduled to spend Christmas 2016 in the Virgin Islands but unfortunately became ill and could not travel. She is survived by her daughter Annie B. McMahon (Dalton) of Portland ND, and their children Christina Norman (Bryan) of Woodbury, MN, Dalton Jr. (Kris) of Deadwood, SD; her son Ephraim Buendia (Melinda) of Winnipeg, Canada and their children Jay Jay Buendia (Catrina) of Cochrane, Canada, Melissa and Daniel Buendia of Winnipeg. Great-grandchildren; Justin and Sean Norman, Winter, Nevada, Katiyana, and Dalton B. McMahon, Aubrie and Everly Buendia. Stepdaughters; Sherry Hayes (Jimmy) and their children: Amber Amburn (Drew) and their son Waylon; Nicole and Alex Hayes; Nancy Batts (George) and their children Thomas and Patricia Batts. Other members of the family include Sally Herzig (Henry), Dinah Lazarte, Ruth Liezl Tolentino (Dino), Matthew Lavender, John Lavender, Sandy, Becca, and Dallas Sealy, Kathy and David Casey, Christopher Holder, Maximos Holder, and family in Dallas, Arizona, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Maryland, Chicago and Philippines. She was preceded in death by her husbands Bienvenido and Benjamin, her parents, brother and sisters. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday March 25, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 2602 NW Ferris Ave, Lawton, OK with the Reverend Arturo Capuli officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow after the service at the church. Visitation will be Friday, March 24 from 7:00-8:00 pm at Ritter Gray Funeral Home Lawton, OK. Burial will be at 9:00 am March 27 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.
