Pearl Elaine Rud

Pearl E. Rud, 87, Clifford, ND, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN. Pearl Elaine Estrin was born October 10, 1918 near Hawley, MN to Oscar and Hilma (Nelson) Estrin. She finished high school while attending St. Paul Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN from 1944-1947. She married Thomas Rud on December 31, 1950 at Hillsboro, ND. They farmed near Clifford, ND. They were lifelong members of the Gideons. Pearl enjoyed knitting and crocheting all of her years, creating many beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She enjoyed growing flowering plants both indoors and out, especially African violets. Pearl moved into Eventide apartments, Moorhead, MN, in June 2002. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rud, who died on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1995; son, Daniel; sister, Ruth; and brother, Gordon. She is survived by three of her children; Randa (Milt) Smith, Myrtle Point, OR and their two children, Elaine (Seth) Heasley and son Ethan, Hillsboro, OR and Caleb (Paula) Smith, Wasilla, AK; Reuben (Jennifer) Rud, Galesburg, ND and their four children, Heather (Steve) Sand, West Fargo, ND and their three daughters, Mauli, Greta, and Tatum, Heidi (David) Garrett, East Grand Forks, MN and their three daughters, Mckenna, Marin, and Mya, Courtney Rud, Minneapolis, MN, and Chantz Rud, Galesburg, ND; Sonja Amundson, West Fargo, ND and her three daughters, Holly Meyer, Fargo, ND, Kari Meyer, Fargo, ND, and Erin Meyer, West Fargo, ND and children Braden and Olivia. She is also survived by three sisters, Evelyn Fureby, Moorhead, MN, Margaret Estrin, Hemet, CA, and Viola Rozikes, White Bear Lake, MN; and one brother, Benny Estrin, North St. Paul, MN. Funeral Service: Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 1:30 PM at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. Visitation: Monday, April 10, 2006 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM, at Baker Funeral Home, Mayville, ND, and one hour prior to the funeral service, at the church. Interment: Arnegaard Cemetery, Rural Hillsboro, ND
