Debra Jean Frandson

March 22, 1957 — June 21, 2016

Debbie Jean Frandson, 59, of Hunter, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Sanford Health in Fargo, after a long battle with Diabetes and heart problems. Debbie was born to Myron and Delores (Balstad) Mastrud on March 22, 1957 in Mayville, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton. She attended public school in Hatton and graduated in 1975. On April 16, 1977, Debbie married James Frandson at St. John Lutheran Church. They were blessed with three sons, James, Jeremy, and Michael. She was also blessed with four wonderful grandchildren, Ella, Jordan, Burke, and Jenna. Debbie worked at various jobs that included retail and nursing homes. She enjoyed caring for others while working at different nursing homes. Getting to know her patients was the best part of her job. Debbie and James also owned a convenience store in Galesburg, ND for nine years. Debbie enjoyed seeing her regular customers on a daily basis. Debbie loved taking road trips to see her grandchildren, whether it was in Fargo, or in Omaha. She enjoyed the stories they would tell her, and she loved their smiles and laughter when they spent time together. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband James; son James (Sara) Frandson; grandchildren: Jordan and Jenna; son Jeremy (Marni) Frandson; grandchildren: Ella and Burke; son Michael (Malinda) Frandson; mother Delores Mastrud, Hatton; Sisters: Susan(Steve) Aune, Lake City, FL; Judy (Tim) Richardson, Deer Park, AL; Tami (Kip) Ostlie, Hatton, ND; Patty (Scott) Marks, Pierce, NE; Brothers: Gary (Marlene) Mastrud, East Grand Forks, MN; Tim (Cindy) Mastrud, Rifle, CO; sister-in-law, Cathy Mastrud, Bismarck, ND; brother-in-law, David Flaten, Hatton, ND; Debbie is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, aunts, and uncles. Preceding her in death was her father Myron; brother, Butch; sister, Dorothy; and brother-in-law, Mike Holkesvig. Visitation: Will be from 5–7 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St John Lutheran Church in Hatton, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton, ND. Burial: A family burial will take place in Sabin, MN.
