Michael Gary Holt

Michael Gary Holt, 54, of Gilroy, CA, passed away on June 10, 2016, after a hard fought battle with brain cancer. Mike was born on March 25, 1962 in Mayville, ND to Richard and Mary Kay (Schmidt) Holt. Mike attended elementary and high school in Petersburg, ND. After his high school graduation Mike attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Mike married Janet Osland in 1983. After living in Grand Forks, ND for several years they moved to California, where Mike resided until his death. Mike is survived by his sons: Dustin, Tanner, and Dalton; father: Richard (Marlys) Holt; mother: Mary Aasness; sister: Debbie (Randy) Defoe; nephews: Aaron Defoe and Kyle Defoe; and special friends, Ken and Danielle Berry. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at 2:30 PM, Saturday in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fargo, ND.
