RUTH AMBROSON Ruth Ambroson, 91, Mayville, ND, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in the Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND. Ruth was born August 4, 1924, the daughter of Thorvald and Thea (Lucken) Brenden. She attended Viking #3 and Portland High School. She went on to attend Trinity Hospital School of Nursing in Minot, ND. After graduation she began her nursing career at the hospital in Mayville. She later worked as the Director of Nursing at the Luther Memorial Home for many years, and finished her career at the nursing home in Hatton, North Dakota. Ruth married Carl Ambroson June, 20, 1948 in the Bruflat Church, Portland, ND. To their union, they welcomed 4 children. Ruth enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was involved with the Sons of Norway and the Mayville Lutheran WELCA. Her favorite memories were of those times spent with family and friends. Ruth is survived by one son and three daughters, Carl Harold (Beckie) Ambroson, Nancy (William) Arneson, Charlotte Lee, Marguerite (David) Kent; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ambroson; her parents; sister, Berglot; brothers Andreas and John, and son in law, Ralph Lee. Visitation will be held Friday, February 19, 2016, from 5:00 till 7:00 PM in the Baker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the services in the church. Interment will be held at Mayville Cemetery.
