Carol Marie Beck

Carol Marie Beck, 80, of Mayville, ND, died on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND. Carol was born on November 8, 1934 in Lindaas Township, Mayville, ND to Louis and Selma (Wahl) Larson. She attended country school and graduated from the Mayville High School. She married Thomas Beck on July 6, 1953 in Climax, MN and made their home in Mayville. Carol worked at the Red Owl grocery store, cooked at cafes and at the Luther Memorial Home until retiring in 1993. Carol was a member of Mayville Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, country music, cooking, yard work and time with family and grandchildren. Carol is survived by one son: Bradley Beck of Mayville; two daughters: Barbara Christians of Hillsboro and Carla Beck of San Bernardino, CA; grandchildren: Justina Christians, Natasha (Dale) Czapiewski, Ben (Yasmin) Verlinde, Ian Beck and Madisyn Beck; great grandchildren: MyKayla Kornkven, Evan Czapiewski and Hudson Verlinde. She is preceded in death by her husband; two sisters: Lillian Knutson and Myrtle Davis and two brothers: Edwin and Lloyd Larson. Visitation: Will be 5- 7 PM with a 7 PM Public Prayer Service on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
