Gladys Elenore Ronholm

Gladys Elenore Ronholm, 90, of Mayville, ND, died on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville. Gladys was born June 18, 1918 to Nels and Mary (Dyrland) Brainerd in Golden Lake Township, ND. She grew up and attended school in the same area. She met Theodore Wilson and the two were married in 1936. Together they had 3 children. After Theodore died in 1953, Gladys moved to Mayville. She worked at Union Hospital for 25 years as a nurse’s aid. She was married to Erling Lande until his death in 1962. In 1963 she married Haldor Ronholm and they continued to live in Mayville. In 2001 Gladys moved into the Luther Memorial Home. Gladys had a great sense of humor, and loved a great thrill. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially playing card games such as “pit” and “spoons.” She collected bird plates and enjoyed crocheting many beautiful items. Gladys is survived by her two sons, Larry Wilson of Fargo, ND, and Donovan (Melody) Wilson of Excelsior Springs, MO; one sister, Norma Seversen of Seattle,WA; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Haldor, daughter Joanne Njos, two sisters, Agnes Strand and Grace Holm, two brothers, Hartvig and William, and three grandchildren, Diana Herzog, Dawn Marie Juell and Ted Wilson. Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 10, 2008 at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. Visitation: 11 – 2 PM on Monday at the church. Burial: Mayville Cemetery
