Theresa Elaine Ekren

Theresa Elaine Ekren, 62, of Mayville, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Union Hospital in Mayville. She was born on November 3, 1945 in Tolna, ND, the daughter of Louis and Eleanor Halvorson. She graduated from Tolna High School and held various positions around the Tolna area before moving to Grand Forks, ND where she worked as an aide for REM Homes (a home for the handicapped) She later married Bill Ekren and resided in Grand Forks until moving to the Mayville Nursing Home in 2003. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and a sister. She is survive by her son, Todd Bayes, Bismarck, ND, one brother, Raleigh (Bonnie) Halvorson, West Fargo, five sisters, Louise (LeRoy) Pederson, Edinberg, ND, Bette Hildebrand, Fergus Falls, MN, Ann (Odean) Holter, Bismarck, ND, Carol Olson, Dallas, Texas, and Sandra Gomez, Victorville, CA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND. VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
