Lowell B. Fugleberg

Lowell B. Fugleberg, 76, of Cummings, ND died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Sanford Mayville Hospital in Mayville, ND. Lowell Fugleberg was born April 1, 1936 in Enger Township, Steele County, rural Portland, ND. He was raised in Norway Township. He served in the US Army as a Specialist 4th Class; his tour of duty was in France and Germany in the mid-fifties. Following military service he returned to ND and worked in several agricultural related positions. He married Marlene G. Jorgensen on June 27, 1959 at Mayville Lutheran Church. They raised their children in Portland, ND. In 1984, the family returned to the family farm where he was raised. He is survived by his beloved wife and three sons, John (Barbara) Fugleberg of West Fargo, ND; Karl Fugleberg and Dale Fugleberg of Cummings, ND; five grandchildren – Adam, Ruby, Laura, Ryan and Cody; two sisters, Avis Viseth and Nannette Bagstad, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie and Carl Bagstad; brother, Willard Sorteberg and brother-in-law, Chester Viseth. Visitation: Will be on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 2 ~ 4 PM with a 3:30 public prayer service at the Baker Funeral Home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Monday, September 10, 2012 at Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at 1:30 PM Monday at Aal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, ND.
