Robert Erling Gummer

Robert E. Gummer passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 31, 2011 just three days after his 87th birthday. He is survived by his wife of 61+ years, Kazia Gummer of Mayville; Six children Ray (Shirley) Gummer; Ken (Nancy) Gummer; Roberta (Kevin) Basol; Kurt (Jen) Gummer; Kathleen Foss; and Randy (Jim) Swingen; Seventeen Grandchildren; and Fourteen Great-Grandchildren. He enjoyed their company at family gatherings during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Birthday celebrations. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. Visitation: Will be from 5–7 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Mayville Lutheran Church, and will resume one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial: Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND, immediately following the funeral service.
