Ruth Alvina Haugen

Ruth A. Haugen Ruth Alvina Haugen, 87, of Mayville died Friday, June 15, at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville. She was born on October 13, 1919, in Portland, ND, the daughter of Carl K. and Ingeborg (Berg) Haugen. Ruth was baptized on November 23, 1919 and confirmed in 1934 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton, ND. Ruth graduated from the Clifford High School in 1937. Ruth moved to California in 1942 and was later joined by her father and brothers. In 1964, they moved back to North Dakota and started a repair business. Ruth and her brother, Arthur, retired in 1981 and moved into Portland, and in 1991, she moved to Mayville. She was a member of Aurdal Lutheran Church of Portland, and when in California, a member of Central Lutheran Church. Preceding her in death are her parents; two brothers, Kenneth in 1981 and Arthur in 1995; and an infant sister, Alice. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Luther Memorial Home Chapel, Mayville, ND. VISITATION: Will be one hour prior to the funeral at the Chapel.
